About the Team
The CSU Swim & Dive Club is a student-run organization. We strive to build a community within the team, to have healthy competition and to share our love for the sport. 2022-2023 marks the 11th year of the Swim & Dive Club's recognition as a sport club at CSU. Participating in a club sports team is a good way to maintain a competitive edge and have fun at the same time. Swimming & diving are great exercise, great stress relievers, and a team sport that encourages community. Many of our athletes have gained life-long skills and learned valuable lessons through swimming & diving.
This club is co-ed and for swimmers & divers of all levels and backgrounds. We practice four to five times a week, and workouts are tailored to all members by our coach. Our swim practices range from 2,000 to 5,000+ yards depending on skill level and desired intensity. All practices are optional to fit the other engagements in our athlete's lives, although we strongly encourage attendance because it's fun! Practice times and locations can be found under the schedule tab.
The Swim & Dive Club competes against regional schools in meets 3-4 times each semester, including two home meets each year. In the fall semester we typically attend one out-of-state meet, and in the spring we travel across the US to attend the College Club Swimming National Championships. At the moment divers do not have a National Meet, however, a variety of the meets we attend offer diving, including our home meet.
Our club believes that community is an essential value for our continued success. To that end, we regularly offer team dinners and social events for our members to attend. We also volunteer in the Fort Collins community at local events, non-profits, and with other teams. Fundraising and volunteering are crucial parts of providing the opportunities that we have, and we highly encourage everyone to participate in the process.
